Flying the Blogosphere I admit it. I have a new addiction – blogs. I’m spending more and more time monitoring my favorites… and the list is growing. Some are related to my business, and some remind me that there are other things in life. So, in this month’s ResearchNOTES, I’ll share just a few of my most-read blogs… I first became interested in Guy Kawasaki’s “How to Change the World” (http://blog.guykawasaki.com/), because he often blogs about public speaking. Since then, I enjoy reading entries in such categories as Lies, Customer Service, Bootstrapping, and more. Since I blog about networking, I check Keith Farazzi’s “Never Eat Alone,” at http://nevereatalone.typepad.com/. I’m always in awe of Keith’s networking abilities and how easy he makes it look. I also read “zen habits” (http://zenhabits.net/), by Leo Babauta. I admit I was originally drawn to his posts on getting organized and GTD (David Allen’s program, Getting Things Done), but later found more on health, motivation, travel, and even saving money. Finally, I monitor the blogs of two friends and fellow information professionals. Kim Dority has just started her “Infonista” blog, at http://infonista.com/. Kim always has great insights, so I look forward to following her blog. Mary Ellen Bates’ “Librarian of Fortune” (http://www.librarianoffortune.com/) is a great collection of thoughts on the information industry, technology, and personal topics. Marcy M.
