A couple of cool sites...
I've been catching up on some reading lately and came across some interesting
nuggets I'd like to share with you in this month's issue of ResearchNOTES...
From the Conflict Information Consortium at the
University of Colorado, the Beyond Intractability Project focuses on
"constructive approaches to destructive conflict." In the Conflict
Advice section of their website (http://tinyurl.com/yrwrpn),
they offer checklists of things to think about when we encounter conflicts in
the workplace and in our personal relationships.
What's so great about a new technology if
you're not sure what it can do for you? Visit 100 Things to do with Google Maps
Mashups at http://tinyurl.com/224hp3 to
see all you can do when you combine Google Maps with other applications. You'll
find some that are practical (convert currency, find a public toilet), as well
as some that are just fun (find a world brewery).
And by the way - FUMSI is now live! It's a new
publication and website for people who FIND, USE, MANAGE, and SHARE information
(http://www.fumsi.com), and I'm the
contributing editor for the FIND area.
