Confessions of a Blog Addict
Last month, I
confessed that I have a blog addiction. I'm happy to report that I am managing
my addiction, and I now limit myself to just 30 minutes of blog reading each
morning. In that short time, I always manage to learn something new and get my
creativity going for the day. Apparently, I'm not alone. Many of you shared your
favorite blogs with me, so this month's ResearchNOTES highlights a few more of
these guilty pleasures...
HELLO, my name is BLOG! (http://hellomynameisscott.blogspot.com/)
is written by a Scott Ginsberg. He wears a name tag every day (yes, every day!),
and he
writes about "The Power of Approachability."
Go to Lifehacker, at http://www.lifehacker.com/,
for "tips and tricks for streamlining your life with computers (and
sometimes without.)" It's not just fortechies.
Speaker and author John Jantsch's blog is called Duct Tape Marketing, at http://www.ducttapemarketing.com/blog/.
He always has great ideas for small- business marketing and somehow gets me motivated.
Subscribing to RSS feeds of your favorite blogs helps you keep track of and read
new entries. I couldn't find a clear explanation of what an RSS feed is and how to use one until I took a look at the video, RSS in Plain English,
at http://thecommoncraftshow.blip.tv/file/205570/.
See you next month - Marcy
